A stone pillar in Langholm
I'm not exactly sure what this stone pillar would have been originally. It could have been part of a well or drinking fountain and perhaps a local resident may be able to provide confirmation. It stands on the west side of the Buccleuch Centre in Buccleuch Square.

Houses, Langholm
Viewed from the bridge in Thomas Telford Road, the houses back onto the bank of the River Esk. The scaffolding-clad spire on the right is part of Erskine Church, which is closed. The scaffolding has been in place since at least 2008 when the spire was photographed by Walter Baxter (
