Pevensey Road, Harbour Heights
Unmade road that was laid out as part of the Harbour Heights development. The take up of plots was minimal and resulted in scattered dwellings along the roads that were laid out. The development was stopped in 1939 and never started after tougher planning laws were introduced in 1947. Four Winds is the house behind the tree to the left whilst the roof of Greenways is to the right.

The Highway, Harbour Heights
Now a restricted byway and part of national cycle route 2 but until the 1820s this was the main road from Newhaven to Brighton and was replaced by a turnpike with a lesser gradient that made it easier for coaches. Still used by vehicles to access the scattered houses on Harbour Heights and Peacehaven Heights.

Haven Way
Part of a new estate built to the west of Tideway school in the early 00s. It was largely built upon the course of Pevensey Road which had been laid out in the 1920s as part of the Harbour Heights development which only resulted in a few scattered houses being built before 1939, one of which, Bleak House on the right, is now part of the new development.

Laid out in the 1920s and originally linked up to Pevensey Road but since the construction of a small estate to the west of Tideway school it is now a dead end.

Ringmer Road, Harbour Heights
Laid out in the 1920s as part of Harbour Heights which the war and tougher planning laws bought to a halt. There are currently three dwellings along this dead end unmade road.

The Highway
An unmade road that provides access to the houses and caravan park on Rushy Hill. Now a restricted byway the road was the original road to Newhaven which was replaced by the current route of the A259 when that road was turnpiked in the early 19th century to lessen the gradient for coaches. The junction with Blakeney Avenue is to the left whilst the TV transmitter is visible in the distance.
