Entrance to Lacy's
The cottage is just about visible past the disused barns and large billboard. It was built as two dwellings in 1827 for one of which was reserved for Home Farm's shepherd.

Lacy's Hill
The name of the minor road between Glynde place and the junction at Image The current road turns sharp right here but originally the route followed the line of the wire fence in the distance as it passed to the west of Glyndebourne Farm. In all likelihood the change was probably due to the difficulties horse drawn coaches had with the gradient.

The descent
View downhill from the permissive footpath on the Glynde estate from the village to Saxon Down. The deeply incised character of the track suggests this is a long-established route over Saxon Down from Glynde to Lewes.

The Holt Field
The name of the field according to Glynde's 1839 tithe map that has been expanded to include Image to the north. Viewed from Lacy's Hill with Glynde Holt the wood in view.

The Broad Comps
The name of the field according to Glynde's 1839 tithe map that also includes smaller entities; Court Pit and Breeches Field which lay to the left and right of the modern barns respectively. The field belongs to Glyndebourne Farm which often has herds of alpacas in them accompanied by the odd llama and occasional camel.
