The Brook Field
The name of the field according to the 1842 tithe map and once part of Middleton Common that was enclosed in the early 17th century. Middleton Cottages can be seen at the far end of the field.

Dobells Farm Cottage
On an unmade private road that leads to The Potteries then continues onwards as a bridleway to Wivelsfield Green. The farm itself is behind the cottage.

Middleton Common Road
Viewed from the junction of Folders Lane East and Spatham Lane. The signpost has lost all its finger posts, the last one indicating Spatham Lane was in place over the summer but has now disappeared. The road itself links Ditchling Common to Plumpton Crossways.

Cottage by bridleway
The bridleway here is a private track serving several houses and in former times Ditchling Potteries.

The Potteries
The name of the group of houses on the eastern side of Ditchling Common and a reminder of the former brick and tile works that operated behind them during the 19th century. The private road on the right is also the Sussex Border Path which operates as a bridleway between Ditchling Common and Wivelsfield Green.
