With one of the few 'wacky' designs above the shopfront left in the street. The council put a stop to them when they decided they were out of character with a conservation area.

Location: Jubilee Library (Outside) Sponsor: artrepublic Designer: Pure Evil Located at the entrance to Brighton's main library and taking advantage of the weather for a spot of alfresco lunch. [Update 6 December - auctioned for £8,000] The snowdogs by the sea is a public art trail that will take place from 24 September to 27 November 2016 across Brighton involving 45 decorated snow dog sculptures 1.5m high that are placed around various parts of the city (Except number 45 which will be located on Platform 17 at Victoria Station in London). They are based on the story of 'The Snowman and the Snowdog' the follow up to The Snowman by Raymond Briggs. Briggs at least has some association with the city having taught at the Brighton School of Art, that later became part of Brighton Polytechnic, from 1961-86. He currently resides at Westmeston a small village located along the spring line of the South Downs about seven miles north of the city centre. The trail is co-ordinated by and will raise funds for the Martlets Hospice a local charity with each dog sponsored by a local business, agency or celebrity. At the beginning of December each dog will be auctioned off along with a set of snow puppies, smaller sculptures, that have been decorated by local schools and placed in museums and libraries [Update - Auction raised £337,000 on 6 December 2016]. Small side street connecting Church Street with North Road and built up as the town expanded northward during the first decade of the 19th century. The buildings on the right are part of the 2005 Jubilee Street development whilst the picture painted on the side of the house advertises Infinity Foods, a local organic food shop.

On the side of the Komedia building. It was painted by a collection of graffiti artists in May 2010. Neither the pigeons perched on the roof or the boots hanging over the telephone wire are part of the installation.

Head south from Gloucester Road down Kensington Street then turn east into North Road. A major arterial road in the centre of town and when built up from 1810 the northern limit of the town. Once an important shopping centre for the local community but now just bypassed by the traffic. The Foam Shop inhabits an old pub called the Red Lion, next door is Bills an organic fruit and veg market built in an old garage, the lime green building near the bottom of the street is a former cinema that operated between 1911-39. Small plaza at the entrance to the library. Built as part of the Jubilee Street development in 2005 which provided a new library building which has since proved so popular and well used that it is now opens on a Sunday as well as a number of retail outlets, restaurants and a hotel. The artificial grass and deckchairs make it a popular stop for lunch.
