Queen?s Park: Think! Don?t drink and drive
Looking along the main A338 Wessex Way from the foot/cycle path that runs alongside it. Road safety messages are displayed when there are no traffic hold-ups to report, such a reminder to wear seatbelts, to keep a special eye out for motorcycles, or as here - not to drink and drive.

Littledown: footpath K28 from Wessex Way
There are two functions of this public right of way, footpath K28. Firstly it provides access to the bus stop on our right, on the main A338 Wessex Way. This purpose may well now be obsolete, as I think it is several years since the bus stop was last used. Secondly, it descends the steps ahead to reach the subway to Queen's Park (the ramp and the actual subway form footpath K27). Halfway along, there is an opening to Littledown Drive, which is just behind the hedge on our left. See Image] for the next view along the path ahead - from by the railings, showing the access to Littledown Drive.

Littledown: steps to the subway
These steps, leading from Littledown Drive to the subway to Queen's Park, form part of public footpath K28, while the ramp ahead and the subway itself form footpath K27. The route of this path also extends a little way behind us. See: Image for the view into the subway from ahead; Image for the view from towards us from partway down the ramp; and Image for the next view on path K28 behind us.

Littledown: footpath K28 approaches the subway steps
The function of this public right of way, footpath K28, is twofold - firstly, to descend the steps ahead to reach the subway to Queen's Park (the ramp and the actual subway form footpath K27), and secondly, to head behind us to the bus stop on the main A338 Wessex Way. The latter function may well now be obsolete, as I think it is several years since the bus stop was last used. See Image] for the view down the steps from just ahead, and Image for a view of the start of the path, behind us, next to the bus stop.

Littledown: footpath K27 from Littledown Drive
The route of this public right of way, footpath K27, is this long ramp to the subway under the Wessex Way, and the subway itself. There are steps, coming down to the subway from further along Littledown Drive, which are part of footpath K28. (The approaches on the far side do not form part of the public footpath route because the land drops to the same level as the tunnel - so in effect there are no distinct approaches.) See: Image for the next view along the path, and further links to photos along the route.
