Boscombe: postbox № BH5 119, Wollstonecraft Road
An Edward VII-reign postbox in Wollstonecraft Road, which is named, like several roads in the area, after forenames of the Shelley family. Mary Shelley, creator of Frankenstein, wrote that and other works while living in Shelley Manor a short distance from here. Other such roads that spring to mind are Florence and Percy.

Site of The Quarterdeck development, Boscombe Overcliff Drive
The property on the left side of the picture has been demolished to make way for The Quarterdeck, a development by Pennyfarthing Homes (http://www.pennyfarthinghomes.co.uk/ ). Their web site says "Twelve 3 bedroom luxury cliff top apartments and one superb 4 bedroom penthouse, with lovely sea views. Ideal second homes or main residences." to be available in 2013.

Boscombe: Manor Zig-Zag
This path, one of several zigzag paths along the Bournemouth coast, comprises only one hairpin bend – so just one zig and one zag, as it were. The lower arm is the considerably longer, and we see the beach and, beyond, Hengistbury Head as we look down it.
