Unusual Date Inscription on Building
I like the decorative patterns in the brickwork and the unusually prominent display of the date of building. I have no idea what the building was constructed for. Could it be a church or chapel?

Gate lodges, Camfield Place
See http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-158337-gate-lodges-and-gates-to-camfield-place- for entry in British Listed Buildings. The lodges date from the mid C19 and predate the existing house. Camfield House was once home to Beatrix Potter and Barbara Cartland (not at the same time).
