Inverboyndie, Boyndie Bridge
There is a 2nd benchmark on the face of the western parapet. It is a smaller mark and is about 1 to 1.5m to the left of the cut mark on the top of the parapet. It is unusual to find 2 benchmarks on 1 bridge.

A symbolic gravestone at St Brandan?s Old Parish Churchyard
The symbols of immortality on this stone are the two angels holding scales which refer to the weighing of the soul on the Day of Judgement and the winged soul at top representing the human soul. Emblems of mortality are the coffins either side of the crossed turf cutter and spade, the tools of the sexton. The stone was erected by John Duff for his father in law George Mair of Banff and Mary his spouse.
