Former weavers' cottages, New Aberdour
Probably dating from ca. 1798, when the planned village was established. Note the lack of front doors. To the left is one of the many access points to the service lane at the back of the houses, which runs parallel to the main street.

High Street
New Aberdour is a classic example of a planned village. It has a wide straight street with the houses lined up with their front elevation facing the street, and the kirk is placed at the end of the street.

Long walk along the High Street, New Aberdour
New Aberdour was established as a planned village in 1798 and the 600-metre High Street still dominates the village with the kirk visible at the end. There is still a village shop but the former Commercial Hotel is boarded up and semi derelict as of April 2021.
