BATA in Russell's old yard
The BATA (Brandsby Agricultural Trading Association) warehouse to the north of the main road is undergoing major repairs to the roof and internal alterations. They have temporarily relocated to this un-occupied building vacated a couple of years ago when Russells Farm Machinery moved to new premises near Malton.

Kirbymoorside railway station (site), Yorkshire, 2009
Actually located in Kirkbymoorside (Victorian railway companies sometimes got the spelling wrong), this station was opened in 1874 by the North Eastern Railway on the line from Gilling to Pickering. It closed in 1953 to regular passenger traffic and completely in 1964. Forecourt and former weighbridge. It was demolished in 2010 to make way for housing. Station Weighbridge
Beside the entrance to the former station complex. To weigh 20 tons, the "plate" Number 524 is dated 1934 and was made by H Pooley & Son Ltd, Birmingham & London.
