The Giant Bradley Heritage Trail
The heritage trail which was the creation of the Market Weighton Civic Society consists of 23 granite footprints around the town, to the exact size of Giant Bradley's shoe size, a staggering 15 inches.

The Corn Dolly Man

Giant Bradley's Birthplace
William Bradley, the Yorkshire Giant, was born at Market Weighton in the East Riding of Yorkshire on the 10th February 1787. He was the fourth son of a family of thirteen, who were all of normal build. At the age of 20 he was an amazing seven feet and nine inches tall, and weighed 27 stones. He died on the 30th May 1820. This house was constructed for him, with rooms and doorways large enough to accommodate his exceptional build. http://www.wicstun.com/giant.html

The Yorkshire Wolds Way
The Yorkshire Wolds Way which was opened on 2nd October 1982 is a 79 mile, long distance path starting at Hessle Haven on the Humber, and finishing at the cliffs above Filey on the East Riding coast. This sign is at the public car park in Market Weighton, a favourite starting point for walkers.
