Priorities
1 Dec 2022 | Multi-agency approach to local issues, individuals and problem solving Response (6 Dec 2022)The Neighbourhood Policing Team meet regularly with partners to ensure we have a multi-agency approach to local issues, individuals and problem solving. These meetings are regularly attended by partners including Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, Youth and Family Support, Housing Officers, Environmental Health and the East Riding Anti-Social Behaviour Team. We share information and resources to deal with local neighbourhood issues, in particular, those identified as causing the most harm in the community. Officers will continue with High Visibility patrols in the area. |
1 Dec 2022 | Operation Galileo Response (6 Dec 2022)Officers from across the East Riding of Yorkshire area continue to engage in the prevention and detection of wildlife offences and poaching across the ward area. Officers will be using intelligence, new equipment and volunteers in helping to identify offenders and obtaining evidence to form prosecution cases. If you see people with dogs in fields, and if safe to do so, please ring 101 and report the incident. #RuralTaskForce, #Op Galileo |

15 Oct 2024 | Operation Galileo Response (15 Oct 2024)Operation Galileo is about the wildlife crime committed through Hare coursing where people usually from outside the area come into the Humberside Police area and bring dogs usually of the greyhound, Whippet and Suliki type breeds to chase and catch Hares on farmland. These people do not have permission to be on the land and they usually bring 4X4 type vehicles and drive over the land causing potential damage to crops. The use of dogs to capture and kill wildlife is an offence. Please if you see any coursing going on ring the Police on 101 if it is safe to do so. |
15 Oct 2024 | Speeding & Road Safety Response (15 Oct 2024)We aim to tackle this concern with speed checks in the rural areas. We will issue education and warnings to offending vehicles. We will also use our local Community Speedwatch volunteers. |
