An intermittent stream which flows along the chalk of the Yorkshire Wolds. Rising at Wharram it enters the North Sea at Bridlington. Bad fortune is said to follow when the Gypsey Race flows. There was serious flooding of Burton Fleming in 2012.

The Gypsey Race through Burton Fleming
The Gypsey Race is an intermittent stream which essentially flows west along the chalk of the Yorkshire Wolds and reaches the sea in the town of Bridlington. Various theories relate to the nature of the stream, and it has entered the legends of this area.
