St. Helen's church, Escrick from the east
The tower is on the north-east corner of the building. It was probably designed this way to give a strong impression from the road and it most certainly succeeds in this. The architect was F.C. Penrose and the church was built in 1857. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1167966

St Helen's Church Escrick
I'm not a great fan of Victorian churches, some of which are downright ugly, but St Helen's is not, being a rather grand, light and spacious church in a fourteenth century style. It dates from 1856/7 and is very much an estate church, whilst it cost a not inconsiderable £26,000 to construct. Extensive repairs were necessary after a serious fire in 1923.

St Helen's Church - interior
The nave and chancel with its polygonal apse. The interior is light and airy and seems a welcoming place.

St. Helen's church, Escrick from the west
This looks like a view from the east with an east apse and west tower, but it is from the west. St. Helen's does have an apse at the east end but also a larger one to the west and the tower is on the north-east corner of the building. It was probably designed this way to give a strong impression from the road and it most certainly succeeds in this. The architect was F.C. Penrose and the church was built in 1857. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1167966

Brick terrace, Escrick
These are almost certainly estate cottages but don't have a very village like appearance. They face out on to the busy A19 almost opposite the parish church.
