St. Helen's church, Escrick from the west

This looks like a view from the east with an east apse and west tower, but it is from the west. St. Helen's does have an apse at the east end but also a larger one to the west and the tower is on the north-east corner of the building. It was probably designed this way to give a strong impression from the road and it most certainly succeeds in this. The architect was F.C.
