Rillington Reading Room
Around 1947, taken from where the Woodlands Road houses would be built in 1948. It was demolished a year or two later. The remains of some of the walls just about survive, outside the cemetery, next to the road.

Telephone Exchange, Rillington
Situated on the A64 Scarborough Road, this redbrick TE has the code MYRIL. It provides telephone and broadband services to 789 residential and 82 non-residential premises in Rillington, plus East Knapton, Scagglethorpe, Scampston, Thorpe Bassett, West Knapton and Wintringham nearby. Two BT Openreach vans are parked in front of the TE and a microwave dish aerial is perched on a pole. Rillington, High Street, 'top end'
Three triangular cement 'buttresses' can be seen supporting the lowest floor of the large house. The terrace was demolished in the late 60s / early 70s.
