Star Car Works - Frederick Street
The Star Works was built in 1903 providing 40,000 square feet of factory space around a central courtyard. The Star Company built their first bicycle in 1869 and first car in 1892. This was one of the first purpose built car factories. The company operated until 1928 when it was taken over by Guy Motors. The listed building is now a furniture factory outlet.
