Old road by the Bull's Head Inn
What is now just a footpath appears to have once been a road. It is probably the original line of Bakehouse Lane, which now joins the B4555 on the other side of a newish house.

Bus shelter on B4555 road
This is a brick built standing only bus shelter, served by buses running on the B4555 road through Chelmarsh. To its left can be seen The Bull's Head Inn. To the right (out of the picture) is the junction with Bakehouse Lane. There is a lot of new private housing along that road, although looking at the houses, probably not a great many of the residents rely on the bus.

Chelmarsh
The B4555 to Bridgnorth passes the Bull's Head. The bull is a Hereford as usual, rather traditional looking.

The Bull's Head Inn (1)
The Bull's Head is a popular and well-known 18th century inn, on the B4555 road, between Highley and Bridgnorth. It has been much extended, but retains many original features in its 18th century core. As well as accommodation, the inn provides meals and at times live music. The inn is unusual in having two completely different signs, one is on a post in the car park, and the other is attached to the building, on the side fronting the B4555. Image Image Image

The Bull's Head Inn (2)
The part of the inn, which can be seen here, is clearly its 18th century core. Some of the extensions can be seen in this view:- Image Image Image

The Bull's Head Inn (sign in car park)
The sign in the inn's car park is attached to a post. There is a completely different sign attached to the building itself:- Image Image Image

The Bull's Head Inn (the other sign)
This is the sign affixed to the inn itself. The bull here looks a lot less cuddly than the one in the car park. In fact he doesn't look very cuddly at all. Perhaps a health & safety warning should be added here - please don't cuddle any bull! Image Image Image

Green lane
I find it curious how some lanes have become part of the highway network and others such as this near Chelmarsh leading to the church that remain as bridleways only.
