Strange neighbours
The industrial estate and country park both occupy parts of the former RAF Training Camp at Stanmore near Bridgnorth. The ground rises gently up to a narrow band of woodland on a sandstone ridge above the River Severn.

Path, Stanmore Country Park
Leading off from the industrial estate access road. After National Service ended, the RAF no longer needed the training camp at RAF Bridgnorth. The base closed in 1963. The married quarters now form a village, The Hobbins and the rest of the site is divided between a wooded country park and an industrial estate.
