Pear Tree Cottage Inn, Brownhills
Another victim of the recession

Calls have been made for Walsall Council to flex its legal muscle and order the owners of a crumbling Brownhills pub to demolish it.
The Pear Tree Cottage Inn in Pear Tree Lane has been empty for more than three years.
It has fallen rapidly into a state of disrepair and has become a hive of anti-social behaviour.
And because the building is filled with rubbish, concerned neighbours fear it could be the target of an arson attack.

Path to Hednesford Road, Brownhills
The slight hump in the path is a rusting railway bridge over the course of a dismantled line. The view is from the south end of a footbridge over the M6 Toll motorway, from Chasewater Country Park. Attempts to restrict who can and cannot use the route have failed, witness the broken fences.

Thai Lanna Restaurant, Wilkin Road, Brownhills
For many years this building was a pub known as The Wilkin Inn but was known as "The Monkey" in times go by.
The first mention of the pub was in the census of 1871 as "The Old Wilkin Inn".
