Historical Context
Aldridge-Brownhills constituency was created in 1974 from parts of the seats of Walsall North and Walsall South. It is one of three constituencies covering the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall.
Political Representation
Aldridge-Brownhills was represented by the Labour Party from its inception in 1974 until 1979. From 1979, it has been represented by two Conservative Members of Parliament - Richard Shepherd until 2015 and Wendy Morton to the present day.
Area and Demographics
Albridge-Brownhills covers the north-east and east of the Metropolitan borough of Walsall. As of the 2021 Census, 23% of the residents were minority ethnic.

The Rt Hon Wendy Morton is the Conservative MP for Aldridge-Brownhills, and has been an MP continually since 7 May 2015. She currently undertakes the role of Shadow Minister (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office).
