Brownhills Youth Centre
The building dates from 1893 and was designed for 210 pupils and 120 infants. It became a boys school in 1932 and closed in 1980. Forms an interesting group of buildings with the old Council House. Both were derelict for a number of years.

Brownhills miner
Brownhills answer to the 'Angel of the North' stands proudly in the traffic island at the end of the High Street. Mining ceased in October 1964 with the closure of Walsall Wood Colliery.

Clock at Brownhills Council House
The clock was made by WF Evans and Sons of Handsworth in 1911 and was paid for by the residue of public funds collected to celebrate the coronation of King George V. The clock was restored to working order in 2006. The building is now a library and health centre.
