Flats on the A4124 at Bloxwich
This view of the flats shows the effort made to leave some green areas in this built up area. At this point the hot air balloon that this photograph was taken from was desperately searching for somewhere to land.

Walsall Trolleybus in Wolverhampton Road, Bloxwich
B.U.T.9611T trolleybus 874 (GFU 692) in Wolverhampton Road, Bloxwich with a block of flats on the right behind the trees. The vehicle has Northern Coachbuilders 54-seater bodywork dating from 1950 and entered service in early 1962, having been transferred from Grimsby-Cleethorpes Transport the previous year. This road is now blocked off in the background with the A4124 Bell Lane. This photo was taken on Saturday 3rd October, 1970 the final day of trolleybus operation in Walsall.

Bloxwich, Turf Tavern
2013 Good Beer Guide-listed pub on Wolverhampton Road (premises with bay window). From the outside, shabby, but inside, a gem for would-be time travellers. The public bar has embossed wall-paper, quarry tiles, slatted seating and old-fashioned pub tables. There is no TV or games machine. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Holden's Golden Glow, Otter Bitter, Salopian Golden Thread & Shropshire Gold.
