Neighbourhood Officer Details
I’m Inspector Saqib Butt, and I’m thrilled to be your neighbourhood policing manager for the Outer Sector of Walsall. I’m here to tell you a bit about myself and what I hope to achieve in our community.
I’ve been part of the policing world for over two decades now, starting my journey back in 2003 at Birmingham’s Stechford Police Station. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving in various roles, including time with the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) and Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU). But what really gets me going every morning is neighbourhood policing.
I’m passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives and the places they call home. That’s why I’m so excited to be leading the charge in Aldridge, Brownhills, Streetly, Darlaston, and Willenhall. These areas are filled with vibrant communities, and I’m determined to build strong relationships with each and every one of you.
One thing you’ll quickly learn about me is that I’m all about communication and collaboration. I firmly believe that by working together, we can tackle any challenge that comes our way. Whether it’s addressing residential burglary, vehicle crime, youth violence, or anti-social behaviour, we’re in this together.
My amazing team of officers and I are here to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and act where needed. We want to hear from you, whether it’s at community meetings, local events, or just out on the street. Your input is invaluable in shaping the way we police our neighbourhoods.
To keep you in the loop, my officers regularly share updates using X and WMNow. And if you ever need to report an issue or just want to chat, you can reach out to us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101.
Together, let’s make our communities safer, stronger, and more united than ever before. I can’t wait to meet you all and get started on this journey together!
