Making a play upon his name (the French word for a raven is corbeau) John Corbett adopted the raven as part of his family crest. Many buildings, built or sponsored by John Corbett, in and around Droitwich Spa can be seen showing a raven, usually within the framework of gable ends.

The Church of the Sacred Heart and St Catherine of Alexandria
The mosaics of the Church of the Sacred Heart and St Catherine of Alexandria in Droitwich have to be seen to be believed. They are perhaps the finest mosaics in any church in the U.K.
The design is by Gabriel Pippet and they were painstakingly constructed by Maurice Joesey and Fred Oats. The church itself is based on the basilica churches of Ravenna, Italy.
