The mosaics of the Church of the Sacred Heart and St Catherine of Alexandria in Droitwich have to be seen to be believed. They are perhaps the finest mosaics in any church in the U.K. The design is by Gabriel Pippet and they were painstakingly constructed by Maurice Joesey and Fred Oats. The church itself is based on the basilica churches of Ravenna, Italy.
