West Mercia Police Information

West Mercia is the fourth largest geographic police area in England and Wales. The force area is divided into five territorial policing areas, which match the boundaries of our local authorities.

While West Mercia is predominantly rural, it also contains some densely populated urban areas and many market towns. To ensure we strike the right balance between addressing national and local policing priorities, the force focuses its activities on three priority areas:

  • Serving
  • Protecting the public
  • Making the difference

Neighbourhood Officer Details

Tanya Beckett (Inspector)
+
Sarah Kent (Sergeant)

I have been employed by West Mercia Police since 1995 serving 7 years as a Police Officer and then moving into the role of Sergeant in 2001

I have worked in Worcester as a Patrol Constable and Sergeant and also spent some time as a Custody Sergeant. For eight years I was posted to Tenbury Wells where I was responsible for both Patrol Officers and the Safer Neighbourhood Team covering Tenbury and the Team Valley. In July 2013 I became a Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant in Wychavon where I have teams in both Pershore and Droitwich.

+
Rich REES (Police Constable)

I have been in front line policing since 2002, working within a variety of communities from the most socially deprived and diverse in Birmingham to the most affluent in Berkshire. I am really pleased to be joining the Droitwich West Neighbourhood Team. I have worked within Worcestershire on and off for about 10 years on a response shift and know the area very well.

Droitwich and the surrounding area is a very safe and pleasant place to live. As with anywhere there is always a minority who do cause the community problems. Preventing antisocial behaviour and targeting persistent offenders will be at the top of my priorities.

I am really looking forward to working with the community and hopefully I will be able to make a significant impact.

+
Andrea Leslie (Police Community Support Officer)

I have worked as a Police Community Support Officer since November 2006 and have been based at Droitwich Police Station for the duration. Prior to this role, I was a Special Constable also based in the Droitwich area.

+
