The upper section, west of the Pickersleigh Road staggered junction. Looking towards the Worcestershire Beacon from opposite the junction with Cotswold Road. To the left is the small, post World War I development of council houses in Landsdowne Close. The semi-detached white rendered houses were part of the "land fit for heroes" post war social housing boom.

Fox in our garden
This fox was a regular afternoon visitor for a few months, undeterred by our felling the conifer patch. It even came round with its partner and two cubs a few times. Eventually it got mange (much to the concern of local dog owners) and we think the whole fox family died.

Wood mouse in our garden
This little wood mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus, also known as the field mouse) is now a regular visitor to the bird feeder. It lowers itself hand-over-hand down the string, then feeds on the peanuts, clambers to the bottom perch for a short pause (pose), then drops off to the ground.

Frogs in our pond - 1
The mating season is here and for a whole week our small pond has been a frenzy of activity and much croaking. Following the severe 2009-10 winter and stories that it had devastated the frog population, this is a welcome sight. Image
