Ferrybridge, St Andrew's Church
This Church used to occupy a site on what is now Ferrybridge Power station. It was demolished and re-built on its present site on Pontefract Road, Ferrybridge in 1952.

St Andrews Church Ferrybridge
The church was moved (dismantled and rebuilt) in the 1950's. It used to stand in marshy land at the side of the power station cooling towers. The graveyard still remains in situ. See supplementary photo http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2128236. Not sure if the bodies have been removed or still there?

St Andrew's, Ferrybridge - north side
The church of St Andrew, Ferry Fryston was of Norman origin but rebuilt in 1350 and restored and extended in 1879. Subject to frequent flooding (being near the river Aire) and then the building of a power station nearby, it was deconstructed in 1952 and rebuilt (as St Andrew, Ferrybridge) on its present site in 1954 with two new bells in the tower. Listed grade II (list entry 1265111). There are no burials in the churchyard, as the original churchyard continued in use until 1986 Image and there is now a civic cemetery nearby.

St.Andrew's church
Ferrybridge parish church with a long history and fascinating story. With 11th century origins, though largely 12th, 13th & 14th century, it originally stood on a site about 400m north. The site frequently flooded and was surrounded by Ferrybridge B Power Station in the 1950s, so the whole church was moved stone by stone and rebuilt 1952-53 on this site https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1265111 with some alterations.
