Two signposts (direction posts or fingerposts) on the one junction. That in the background is a "new type" octagonal based on the old Cheshire County Council posts. Old Direction Sign - Signpost at Newton Firs, south of Frodsham
Ornate spike finial - no arms; Cheshire short, un-tapered by the UC road, in parish of Newton by Malpas (Chester District), Newton Kingsley; now used to support post box, replaced by a new octagonal type a little distance away. At the junction of Meeting House Lane and Hillfoot Lane.
