A third class on the railway
Third class on Britain's railways was officially abolished in 1956, but, in practice, there had been only two classes for many years before that, apart from a few Southern Region boat trains. Now Avanti West Coast have reintroduced a third class of travel. 'Standard Premium' sits between first and standard class and offers first class seating without the catering, so is a good compromise if you want a more relaxed ride in roomier seating but don't need the catering service. The standard premium coaches are first class cars, rebranded internally but, at present, still carrying first class branding externally.

Log train approaching Warrington Bank Quay
Yes, another day another shot of a log train near Warrington Bank Quay. I like this better than my last one because it's better composed with another train approaching.

Log train passing through Warrington Bank Quay
I always peer over the rail bridge from the A57 toward Warrington Bank Quay when I walk home hoping to see something of interest, more in hope than expectation. On this occasion I was treated to the sight of an extraordinarily long - 16 wagons? - train pulling large logs under the nearby road bridge towards Warrington Bank Quay station. Their provenance and destination intrigued me but, of either, I have no clue.

Two Billboards Outside Warrington, Cheshire
An electronic board paid for by someone/thing called Brexit Express proclaims "Kiss Off - No more Trips To Strasbourg. Back No Deal. Leave Now." Indicative of the sophistication of the arguments being made at this stage.
