Carved stone post by the A49, in parish of WINWICK (WARRINGTON District), Newton Road, 35m South of junction with Green Lane, 2m behind crash barrier, on West side of road. Wigan triangle, erected by the Warrington & Wigan turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-

Carved benchmark on reverse.

Carved stone post by the A573, in parish of WINWICK (WARRINGTON District), Golborne Road, opposite the junction with Hornby Lane, by gateway, in pavement, on West side of road. Lancs. CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century.
