Carved stone post by the A573, in parish of WINWICK (WARRINGTON District), Golborne Road, opposite the junction with Hornby Lane, by gateway, in pavement, on West side of road. Lancs. CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : WIGAN / 9 MILES : : WINWICK : : WARRINGTON / 3 MILES : Grade II listed.
