Statue of Sarah Siddons, Paddington Green
The great actress Sarah Siddons (1755-1831) is buried in the churchyard of St Mary's. The statue by Chavilland erected in 1897 derives from the painting "Mrs. Siddons as the Tragic Muse," by Sir Joshua Reynolds in 1784. There is a dagger in her hand, as Lady Macbeth was her most famous role. A mask of tragedy is seen under her chair.

Barclays bike hire stand, Paddington Green
No bikes when the photo was taken but two days later the online system reported a full complement of bikes here. The nearest carriageway (with no traffic) is the end of the Harrow Road - it terminates at Edgware Road. Beyond with traffic is the end of the A40 dual carriageway - just beyond here it becomes the A501. Beyond them is a building of the former North Westminster Community School; its activities have moved to the new Paddington Green Campus of the City of Westminster College.

Westway approaching Marylebone Flyover
This vista will be all too familiar to those who have ever driven into the city centre from the west along the elevated A40. They will have had plenty of time to admire the view, whilst sat in the usual queue.
