Gateway to Holland Park Mews
A grand entrance to the erstwhile equine accommodation for the prestigious Holland Park estate. The mews is sunk below ground level, the better to be out of sight of the mansions.

Holland Park Mews
Ian Nairn in Nairn's London (1966) describes Holland Park Mews thus: "Most London mews are more fun to live in than look at. But this one is a cathedral among mewses. A steep drop to the entrance arch at the west end, and a steep climb out and a wristy flick at the east end give it an individual signature...
