Ian Nairn in Nairn's London (1966) describes Holland Park Mews thus: "Most London mews are more fun to live in than look at. But this one is a cathedral among mewses. A steep drop to the entrance arch at the west end, and a steep climb out and a wristy flick at the east end give it an individual signature... The stucco entrance arch must see every variety of human and automotive temperament in the course of a year."
