Holland Park Mews at night
Ian Nairn in Nairn's London (1966) describes Holland Park Mews thus: "Most London mews are more fun to live in than look at. But this one is a cathedral among mewses. A steep drop to the entrance arch at the west end, and a steep climb out and a wristy flick at the east end give it an individual signature... The stucco entrance arch must see every variety of human and automotive temperament in the course of a year." This view looks down to the entrance arch described above.

This is the road known as Holland Park, immediately to the north of Holland Park itself. The trees look like weird sculptures before they are in leaf.
