Arch entrance to Holland Park Mews
The buildings in the mews were originally coach houses and stables for the grand houses in Holland Park; the stables had living quarters for servants above. Now many of the grand houses are divided into flats, and some of the most expensive dwellings are the mews houses.

Ukrainian Embassy
There is quite a Ukrainian concentration in this area as the statue to St Volodymyr is on the street corner of Holland Park and Holland Park Avenue - see www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7405997 and the Ukrainian Religious Society of St Sophia is next to the statue - see www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7406013

Houses on Holland Park, W11
These fine houses are 5 storey double fronted detached ones. They must have been huge when one family unit was living there, even with the servants too. Now, they will have been converted into flats.

Holland Park Mews
Ian Nairn in Nairn's London (1966) describes Holland Park Mews thus: "Most London mews are more fun to live in than look at. But this one is a cathedral among mewses. A steep drop to the entrance arch at the west end, and a steep climb out and a wristy flick at the east end give it an individual signature... The stucco entrance arch must see every variety of human and automotive temperament in the course of a year." For a view of the entrance arch described above see www.geograph.org.uk/photo/7406041 For a night time photo of the entrance see www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2694350
