Houses by the canal
Some rather desirable houses of no great age, with their own wharfs. The towpath bridge crosses a private branch to Troy Wharf on the other side of the Colne valley. Is this still navigable?

Houses opposite Troy Cut
A group of new houses, with private moorings. I was struck by the variety of colours making up the wood panelling. No doubt some exterior designer was paid well for that.

River Colne: Balancing channel with the Grand Union Canal
Between Rickmansworth and Uxbridge the River Colne and the Grand Union Canal parallel one another with any number of overspill weirs on the canal and, as here, balancing channels between the two, that allow water to flow between them to sustain a certain level of water in both. This view was taken from the canal towpath footbridge.

Troy Cut
A private arm off the Grand Union Canal. It leads to the ancient Troy Mill, but these days is surrounded by worked out and flooded gravel pits.
