Grand Union Canal, south end of Broad Water
To the left, for some distance, the canal broadened out considerably to the non-towpath side, but now the wide is silted and overgrown. Unusually, the Grand Junction Canal had its milestones on the side opposite the towpath, at least around here. 'The Thames 15' was on this broad stretch, well hidden now from the used channel - is it still there?
