Denham Village Infant School
By the looks of things this building has seen village children come and go for more than a century. It looks quite cosy and un-intimidating - but I can't help thinking that if I were five years old I'd like to be able to see out of the windows without standing on a chair!

Denham Wesleyan Chapel
An inscription above the doorway gives the date 1820. Seen from the street, Non-Conformist chapels of around that date often comply with a simplified Greek temple formula - with a pediment (low gable) and a couple of pilasters (columns in low-relief). This little brick-built chapel is even humbler, quite domestic in style and scale. A previous visitor found the building up for sale: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1177494 What may have happened in the mean time isn't clear, but the estate agent's board has disappeared.
