Anti-social behaviour was the 2nd highest concern voted for by residents of Denham and Gerrards Cross

Local neighbourhood officers have been carrying out patrols around the area as part of efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour. They continue to focus these patrols in locations most impacted by anti-social behaviour to prevent further disruption taking place.

PCSOs and PCs also continue to hold their crime prevention and have your say events, setting up stand with crime prevention material and inviting members of the public to speak to them about anti-social behaviour.

Speeding has been identified as a priority for local residents, they have reported that high speeds across the area represent a risk to community safety.

The team will be identifying locations where speeding is most prominent and from there plan days of speeding enforcement. We will endeavour to update the community with the results when that process is complete.

The team have also been seeking to pursue regular offenders who speed and drive dangerously, considering all legislation to deal with those individuals such as tickets and section 59 warnings which can result in the vehicle being seized if the person does not adhere to the conditions of the warning.

Burglary was voted as a top priority for the residents of Denham and Gerrards cross, Bucks TVP have recently started their winter burglary campaign.

Bucks TVP have started their winter burglary operation, the campaign to intensively reduce and prevent winter time burglary across Buckinghamshire. Officers will be by carrying out increased proactive patrols in hours of darkness around the most impacted areas, including Denham and Gerrards cross as these area are frequently impacted by burglary. The aim of these patrols are both to detect and deter burglary offenders.

The local neighbourhood team will also be working with residents around home security advice, educating everyone around keeping their homes as secure and unattractive to burglars as possible. Residents playing their part to keep their homes safe as well as looking out for their neighbours plays a significant part in reducing the amount of burglaries in the area.

Anti-social behaviour includes issues such as drugs, littering, noise disturbances and youth anti-social behaviour.

We continue to work with partners on the issue of pony and trap racing on the A413 between Chalfont St Peter and Denham. Whilst longer term solutions to this issue are still being discussed we continue to take robust action against those found committing offences. In recent months we have seized a number of vehicles and reported several drivers for moving road traffic offences.
Representatives of the team, supported by our fantastic special constabulary, attended a number of the Christmas events which took place during December. All of those events attended passed without incident and our presence there was well-received.

Unfortunately the speed enforcement operation planned for December had to be postponed as our staff were required for a large operation in a different part of the force. In the last week we carried out a speed check on Windsor Road, Gerrards Cross during which four drivers were stopped and issued with warnings (due to being below the threshold for prosecution) and two others were reported. Our Special Constabulary have also been out supporting this work in the Gerrards Cross area and reported three further drivers for exceeding 30mph limits.

The neighbourhood policing team have been working hard over the last three months to combat burglary. We have supported wider operations such as Operation Grotto and Operation Pandilla, both of which saw intense proactivity across the Chalfonts, Gerrards Cross, Denham and Iver. These operations resulted in multiple arrests, stop searches, vehicle searches and some excellent disruption. On the weekend of the 08/02/2026 we responded to reports of pony and trap racing on the A413 between Chalfont St Peter and Denham. Working alongside our response officer colleagues robust action was taken in relation to several driving offences being committed. In total, two vehicles were seized and five people were reported for a range of offences. In addition a further individual stopped as part of this response was found to be wanted by another police force and was promptly arrested.

In January we carried out a speed check on Windsor Road, Gerrards Cross during which four drivers were stopped and issued with warnings (due to being below the threshold for prosecution) and two others were reported. Our Special Constabulary have also been out supporting this work in the Gerrards Cross area and reported three further drivers for exceeding 30mph limits.

Unfortunately due to resourcing issues on the team, we were unable to complete any speed enforcement activity in the month of February. Once we are back up to strength, further operations will be scheduled.

Pony & trap racing continues to be an issue of considerable concern in Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross. After considerable work with our partners at Buckinghamshire Council a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is now in place on the relevant sections of the A413 and A40. This order prohibits the behaviour in question and provides the police with additional enforcement capabilities.

We have also been working with local farmers, specialist Roads Policing motorcyclists and colleagues at Hertfordshire Police to address the anti-social use of vehicles on open spaces and farm land around the Chalfonts, Denham and Iver. An operation utilising our off-road police motorcycles was held in recent weeks, was very well received locally and will likely be run again in the near future.

In recent weeks we have also provided the initial response to vehicular anti-social behaviour at the motorway services at junction 2 of the M40. This has involved both cars and motorcycles and we are pleased to report that positive action has been taken against a number of individuals. At a recent car-meet one driver was stopped and issued with a warning under S59 Police Reform Act and another was reported for a number plate offence. On a separate occasion and following calls about a group of motorcycle riders performing wheelies and wheel-spins, a group of ten were stopped nearby. Five of these riders were reported for number plate offences. We would like to reassure the community that we will respond robustly to this behaviour wherever possible.

On 13/04/2026 the neighbourhood team completed enforcement activity on Windsor Road, Gerrards Cross. One driver was warned and three others were stopped, reported and now face speed awareness courses or penalty points and fines. The highest speed recorded was 43mph.

On 26/05/2026 the team completed enforcement activity on Tilehouse Lane, Denham. We are pleased to report that all drivers checked were within the 30mph limit.

Last month we participated in a multi-force operation targeting criminal use of the road network. This operation saw intense proactive policing with partners across the Chalfonts, Gerrards Cross, Denham and Iver. This operation resulted in multiple arrests, stop searches, vehicle seizures and some excellent disruption. Outside of this operation the team continue to patrol the most affected areas together with our borders with neighbouring areas and forces.

Pony & trap racing continues to be an issue of concern in Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross. After considerable work with our partners at Buckinghamshire Council a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is now in place on the relevant sections of the A413 and A40. This order prohibits the behaviour in question and provides the police with additional enforcement capabilities. We have responded to a number of calls in recent weeks, one individual has been issued with a PSPO Fixed Penalty Notice and a number of other drivers have been reported for traffic offences.
We have also carried out a number of joint patrols with the Buckinghamshire Council Waste Enforcement Team to combat fly-tipping. Several load related / waste carrying offences were identified and drivers reported accordingly.
Due to concerns raised about persistent youth-related anti-social behaviour in Gerrards Cross we have completed intensive patrols of the common and town centre at key times. We have been supported by the Special Constabulary and these patrols will continue at every opportunity.
Following reports of regular misuse of nitrous oxide in Denham we located and stopped the vehicle concerned. A quantity of the class C drug was seized and one male was issued with an out of court resolution.
We continue to provide the initial response to vehicular anti-social behaviour at the motorway services at junction 2 of the M40. On the most recent occasion a driver was seen by officers performing drifts in the car park and was promptly stopped. Their vehicle was seized under S59 Police Reform Act. We would like to reassure the community that we will respond robustly to this behaviour wherever possible.

Due to competing demands on the neighbourhood policing team we have been unable to complete as much speed enforcement work as we would have liked.

Burglary was voted as a top priority for the residents of Denham and Gerrards cross, Bucks TVP have recently started their winter burglary campaign.

We continue to work hard to combat burglary through targeted patrols of the most affected areas and of the borders with neighbouring areas and forces.
In July we participated in a multi-force operation targeting criminal use of the road network. This operation saw intensive proactive policing with partners across the Chalfonts, Gerrards Cross, Denham and Iver. Across all of the forces involved over 60 people were arrested and over 40 vehicles were seized. For full results please see our social media channels.
We also participated in a local rural crime initiative alongside the Metropolitan Police Service. This operation also saw intensive activity in the same area and resulted in an arrest, multiple vehicle seizures, multiple drivers being reported for traffic offences and some really positive engagement with our rural community. Investigations were also launched into two drivers who failed to stop for officers.
