Signal outside South Greenford station
A railway signal about 75 yards north of South Greenford station, looking towards Greenford. It was too dark to tell, but there may be an old fashioned semaphore signal as well as the normal one.

A train leaves South Greenford station
The Greenford branch of the Great Western Railway had been used for regular passenger services since 1904, but the halt at South Greenford did not open until 20th September 1926. It was originally named South Greenford Halt but, like Castle Bar Park Halt to the south, the suffix was dropped on 5th May 1969. At present, signage on the station carries an alternative name for the station - "West Perivale". There are no buildings at the station and each platform is reached by a long ramp up from the A40 (Western Avenue). This view looks from the down platform as a train bound for Greenford is just leaving.

South Greenford station
Curiously on the same station signs it's also called in smaller letters 'West Perivale'. This is the length of the platforms, with the one on the right made from wood and the left appears to be concrete, the line from Greenford to West Ealing is closed on Sundays.
