Hayes: Ventura House (West London YMCA)
Ventura House is at 72-74 Station Road and is currently, according to its website, for homeless people aged 16-35 with low-medium support needs. Homeless families have to be nominated by a local authority, and all applicants must have had a local connection to the London Borough of Hillingdon for at least 6 months. The building has 13 floors and is about 118 feet or about 36 metres high.

Hayes: Trident House
Trident House was once the headquarters of the Avis car rental company, but has since been converted into 98 luxury apartments by Galliard Homes. The attraction is obvious. The building is a stone's throw away from Hayes and Harlington railway station with fast CrossRail services to central and east London planned to start in 2018. Galliard are releasing the apartments on 29 January 2015, and, starting at £175,000, they will probably be very popular.
Question - does one ever see new apartments for sale that are not prefixed with "luxury"?

Hayes Town, Middlesex
View looking N from the railway bridge at Hayes and Harlington Station. At the time of the photo, the main A312 road was routed through the centre of town. This road has since been moved to a new dual carriageway to the E, bypassing the town centre.

The Tumbler - West London YMCA Young People's Centre
This building was a public house. The YMCA news item about its opening in 2004 says: "The Tumbler forms part of a tower block complex, Ventura House - also owned by West London YMCA. Formerly a partly deserted, rundown tower block, Ventura has been transformed into a modern facility, offering 60 supported housing units for young people and 12 self-catering flats for families."

End of Terrace, Blyth Road, Hayes
Dwarfed by the featureless facades of the new blocks over the road, this humble terraced house still wins on style. Original window fetishists don't have to comment...
