Not a very adventurous design by comparison with a lot of the inter war shop-house terraces found all over this area, but still with an attempt at something fancy along the roof line.

Charville Lane West
The tree in the distance on Charville Lane West looks like a Cedar of Lebanon. It also looks like it has been severely trimmed in the past so it now appears a little lopsided - see also http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5707218 It had been very cold and snowy recently and the daffodils in the foreground had not flowered yet.

This tree on Charville Lane West looks like a Cedar of Lebanon. It also looks like it has been severely trimmed in the past so it now appears a little lopsided.

Houses in Star Road Hillingdon Heath
The road was originally called Gutteridge Street, presumably because it led towards Gutteridge Wood, which still exists. For some unknown reason the name was changed to Star Road, presumably after The Star pub on the junction of the road with Uxbridge Road, which might previously have been known as The Wheeler Arms. The Star was demolished in 2014
