North Sheen station: Teddington loop train
It was only just after 3pm on an October afternoon, about 3 hours before sunset, but heavy cloud and rain made it very gloomy, giving the appearance of dusk as this class 455 electric unit approached North Sheen station on the straight stretch of track from Mortlake. The stopping service on this line forms a loop through Teddington, with trains in each direction starting and finishing at Waterloo.

Shops on Lower Richmond Road
A small parade of shops on the corner of the A316 dual carriageway and Market Road.
As of 2010 they comprised a fish bar and (on the corner) a convenience store also offering internet access.

Richmond Fire Station
On the south side of the A316 dual carriageway. See also Image I looked back at an older edition of the London A-Z and this was the A3003 when the street atlas was published (1986), with the A316 at that time being routed up Kew Road (now A307).
