Kew Gardens station
Looking northwards, towards London. This station has District Line trains from Richmond to the City and beyond, and also North London Railway trains, which run around the north of London to Stratford, without entering Central London.

Arriving at Kew Gardens
A District Lin train for Richmond runs down the gradient into Kew Gardens station having crossed the Thames. Cherry trees in blossom and tubs with a mixture of Palms and Primulas to brighten the passengers day, serve as a reminder of the Royal Botanical Gardens close by.
The train is made up of D78 stock, which entered service from 1980. The trains were refurbished between 2005 and 2008.

Railway public house, Kew
The Railway public house is a free house situated next to Kew Gardens Station. Note the aeroplane in the top right of the image. Although a very expensive area to live, aeroplanes pass over this area at the rate of around one a minute.
