A District Lin train for Richmond runs down the gradient into Kew Gardens station having crossed the Thames. Cherry trees in blossom and tubs with a mixture of Palms and Primulas to brighten the passengers day, serve as a reminder of the Royal Botanical Gardens close by. The train is made up of D78 stock, which entered service from 1980. The trains were refurbished between 2005 and 2008.
