The Red House
The Red House in Church Lane Nunthorpe is not, surprisingly, a listed building but it is a very fine building.

Looking toward Church Lane
Nunthorpe is mostly to the west of the A172 road, but a cluster of superior houses and the church lie on the east, on slightly rising ground.

Cascade of poppies
A bit late I know for Remembrance Sunday but I only spotted this a week or so ago. I think it very effective. the poppies are all hand knitted and the colours are still vibrant after a month in the winter weather. Next to Nunthorpe war memorial.
